Sannija Jauce



Originally from Latvia, Sannija joins Motive as a Project Coordinator and Analyst, following years of mission-critical analysis in the areas of international security, defence, politics, and global policies. She's also a deeply experienced journalist, editor, and linguist. While working for the Latvian News Agency, Jane's Foreign Report, and the AFP (Agence France Presse), she interviewed heads of state and covered Pope Benedict XVI, Queen Elizabeth II, and Emperor Hirohito. Before relocating to the United States, Sannija served with the US State Department as a Political Specialist, and was a confidential interpreter for the US Ambassador in Riga. She has also supported human rights and other policy work with the OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe), and developed high-stakes language tests for companies and institutions serving the US government. Sannija holds a Bachelor of Communications and Master of Humanities from the University of Latvia. She speaks Latvian, English, Russian, Norwegian, and Swedish.
